Laminate & Vinyle

Recoating

Recoating hardwood floors is recommended to be done after every 7-10 years. Your floors constantly go through natural wear daily, especially at high traffic areas, which gradually accumulate surface scratches from dust and debris. The process of recoating your floors allows for the top layer of floor finish to be lightly sanded to a dull state, that allows for the next new finish coat applied to grab on with an even application.

Refinishing

I start with using a rough grit sand paper to remove the top layer of the hardwood which rids the floor of any imperfections while also leveling out the hardwood surface. Even though sanding the old finish relieves the floor of cosmetic issues, this also uncovers other imperfections the the old finish was already covering. At this point, trowel filling the entire floors will take care of those imperfections. After the wood filler fully cures,
